After I posted my last Easy Vegan Almond Nog recipe using storebought almond nog from Whole Foods, you guys demanded a vegan version from scratch in case the Whole Foods nog couldn't be found anywhere (or for when it goes out of season). Well, here you go! After multiple trial-and-errors and taste tests, I can assure you that this vegan eggless nog is just as good - if not better- than the storebought stuff. The key here is the variety of warming spices and blend of dairy-free milks. I also chose to use a mix of creamer and soy milk since using all regular milk made it too thin, and using all creamer was too thick, so this blend is a perfect balance. It's also very customizable and you can use more or less spices as desired. Add a shot of your favorite bourbon whiskey to make it a delicious adult holiday treat!

Eggless Nog Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of dairy-free vanilla creamer (preferably almond creamer)

  • 1 cup of regular soy milk

  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves

  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger

  • 1/8 tsp ground cardamom

Additional Ingredients:

  • 4-5 oz bourbon whiskey

  • 4-5 cinnamon sticks

  • Cinnamon for topping

  • Fresh nutmeg for topping

  • Ice

Directions:

  • In a blender, add all the ingredients for the eggless nog.

  • Blend until all the ingredients are incorporated.

  • Optional: wet the rim of your glass and coat it with a blend of cinnamon and nutmeg.

  • Add the ice and whiskey to the glass.

  • Pour the almond nog overtop of the ice.

  • Stir well with the cinnamon stick, then top with some cinnamon and freshly ground nutmeg.

  • Enjoy!

Tips and Tricks:

  • If you're making a large batch for a party, do not add ice since it will melt and water down the nog. Instead, put some ice into individual glasses and pour the almond nog over the ice when you're ready to serve.

  • This almond nog will store well in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
